The Verify Address utility checks an address against Australia Post's Address File (PAF). by attempting to match a known address.
Note: Any valid address also contains a recipient name, so a 'false negative' (Red) can be returned for a valid address not containing a name line e.g.:
Adding a 'dummy' name line improves the result to 'unbarcoded' (Yellow). The address is still incomplete, though, as it requires more detail.
Note: For apartments, industral estates etc, the street address alone may have its own entry, so the address may verify (green) even if incomplete. This will suffice for delivery.
A complete address should show as valid (green, and so barcoded).
International addresses are not validated except for country name, and show as Blue.
